How is Wegovy stored? Does it need refrigeration?
Wegovy pens should be kept in the fridge before use at 2–8°C and protected from light. They must not be frozen, and care should be taken to avoid placing them near the cooling element of the fridge, as this can cause accidental freezing. Once in use, a Wegovy pen can be stored either in the fridge or at room temperature below 30°C, but it must be used within 6 weeks and then discarded. If a pen has been frozen or exposed to temperatures above 30°C, it should not be used. Always check the solution through the pen window: only use it if it is clear and colourless, and keep the cap on to protect it from light.
