What should you do if you travel with Mounjaro?
Keep Mounjaro with you in your hand luggage and never in checked bags, as the hold can get too hot or cold and may damage the pen. Unopened pens should be kept refrigerated at 2–8°C and must not be frozen; once a pen is first used, it can be stored at room temperature (up to 30°C), away from heat and light, and should be discarded after 30 days. Use a small medical cool bag to maintain safe temperatures during travel, and keep the pen in its original box to protect from light. At UK airports, essential medicines and hypodermic syringes are allowed in hand luggage; carry proof it’s prescribed (prescription label or doctor’s letter), and declare it at security if asked—X-rays are not known to affect tirzepatide.
